Hey folks,

I've captured a video from last night's morogrim kill. This is my first time doing these so I apologize.

Get it here: Morogrim Tidewalker - 29 September 2007 (http://s3.amazonaws.com/fulcrum/MorogrimTidewalker-29sep07.m4v)

I liked the part where my name scrolled by. So that was like, all of it. :) I'm surprised you don't show mana return too, but it's good you don't cause that's a lot of scroll spam.

Anyway, I especially like that it's QT and not that dirty wmp format that makes my day annoying with extra clicks and looks crappy to boot. I'd be interested in making some records this way given time to review them cause I could get a handle on what I was doing. How big was the file? (QT won't let me save it cause I don't have Pro.)

Thanks for making/posting. :)

Pika.

It's about a 110mb file, all told. You can download it, btw, by option-clicking the link above.

To record, all you need to do is set up a keybinding for "record" (and possibly cancel record and compress videos), and then change your settings on the Mac Options screen. I recorded that at 640x400 or so, even though my interface is like 1680x1050, and that's at 20 fps. I tinkered with it last night and found that setup was pretty good for me. Tonight I'll switch it to using the Apple Intermediate Codec rather than H.264, because I know it's going to be fed into iMovie for some final work. I did the titling, circle in and out, and the music overlays with iMovie 08, which took me about 8 minutes to figure out how to use.

I have to say, watching it made me cringe with some things I could have done better.

Ah ... yeah, option click. Thanks. I just tried out some recording and found out some of the handy things you posted. It's kinda fun.

Same here. I noticed pretty quickly some things I do in this fight that I need to work on to help down him more quickly.

I'm not a mage, but are you sure you're jumping enough for AoE?

More seriously watching it I think I can tighten some stuff up too. Maybe we should be doing this for fights we're working on :)

I agree about using it on fights we're working on. I'd love to get a bird's-eye view of what people are doing during a Leo whirlwind so that I can better avoid them myself.

I record myself having sex with Etri while he's sleeping so I can improve my technique and maybe one day do it without waking him up in a fit of terror.
