Assault has a point though. Dogma could have done just as well as a novel. The old school rule of cinematographers is "show, don't tell". But I do think he does a good job of it. He can make me laugh and buy his shit, so I'd say he's fairly successful.

As at least the Canadians probably know, the CBC is looking for a new song for their Hockey Night in Canada broadcasts since the composer of the original theme threw a hissy fit because the CBC didn't treat her well enough and pulled their rights to the song and then turned around and sold it to a rival network. Whatever. So the CBC has been looking for a new song, and they launched a competition. Most of the entries are pretty standard John Tesh NBA theme fare, but a couple stand out! So the Canadian Press phones up a Canadian Idol judge (not even Canadians know who the hell these people are and the show was created ONLY to cheaply comply with Can-con rules) to get his opinion. Has anyone cared about BNL for 15 years? I think not. Does anyone care what a Canadian Idol judge thinks? Definitely not. It boggles my mind that someone bothered to write and file this story ... and I guess it should boggle my mind further that I spent 2 minutes ridiculing it. BUT GEEZ!
