You don't need 9 [Hearts of Darkness] per person, you need 6 per person. SR legs are a waste of hearts.
Cloak (1), Bracers (1), Boots (2), Belt (2), Neck (0). That gets you to 40 + 40 + 54 + 54 + 40 = 228 SR right there
Add 15 for a cloak enchant. 243
Take your old t4/t5/nonset helm and put a Glyph of Shadow Warding on it. 263
Get one decent green in any other slot (ring works, shoulders are great as you can put a Violet Eye enchant on them, etc.). 290+
Add Shadow Protection buff. 360+
And you're good to go. Legs with a leg patch/thread on them are a huge source of stats and you lose a ton by wearing an SR piece in that slot. Legs also offer the worst heart:SR ratio of any piece.
But yeah, you shouldn't be crafting any haste gear with hearts until Shahraz is dead.[/b]
Let me break that down: Cloak (Night's End)
1 Heart of Darkness
1 Void Crystal
2 Primal Life
2 Primal Shadow
1 Bolt of Imbued Netherweave
Bracers (Soulguard Bracers / Redeemed Soul Wristguards / Shadesteel Bracers)
1 Heart of Darkness
1 Void Crystal
2 Primal Life
2 Primal Shadow
1 Imb Netherweave / 2 Fel Hide / 4 Adamantite Bar
Boots (Soulguard Slippers / Redeemed Soul Moccasins / Shadesteel Sabots)
2 Heart of Darkness
1 Void Crystal
2 Primal Life
4 Primal Shadow
1 Imb Netherweave / 2 Fel Hide / 4 Adamantite Bar
Belt (Soulguard Girdle / Redeemed Soul Cinch / Shadesteel Girdle)
2 Hearts of Darkness
1 Void Crystal
3 Primal Life
4 Primal Shadow
1 Imb Netherweave / 2 Fel Hide / 8 Adamantite Bar
Enchant Cloak +15 Shadow
4 Large Prismatic Shards
8 Primal Shadow
That comes out to about: 6 Hearts of Darkness
4 Void Crystal
9 Primal Life
20 Primal Shadow
1 Imbued Netherweave
3 Imbued Netherweave / 6 Fel Hide / 16 Adamantite Bar
Per person

I believe I have a few stacks of Fel Hide I can donate
Khorium Band of Shadows (http://www.wowhead.com/?item=24158) is a shadow damage, not resistance, ring.

I knew it looked funny.
I wonder how long it will take us to gather 150 hearts of darkness? In looking at Wowhead, the drop rate seems to be about twice that of nether vortices. Fortunately for us, Bliz added hearts to Hyjal trash drops in 2.2. I just wonder if we'll be able to gather 150 by the time we are ready to start working on Shahraz, or if this will create a roadblock for us?

You know, I kept my <a href="http://itemstats/updateitem.php?item=Onyx%20Embedded%20Leggings" target="_blank"><a class='forumitemlink' target='_blank' href='http://wow.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?witem=21530&locale=enUS'> <tr> <td valign=\'top\' class=\'itemicon\'> <img class=\'itemicon\' src=\'http://wow.allakhazam.com/images/icons/INV_Pants_Mail_04.png\'> </td> <td> <body><div class=\'wowitem wowitemlive\'><span class=\'iname\'><span class=\'purplename\'>Onyx Embedded Leggings</span>

I've got 28 fel hide in the bank after 12 for haythan and I, I'll start forwarding it off to people
We cannot make any of the BT shadow resist gear until after we have killed Supremus (the second BT boss) because of where the Ashtongue quartermaster is. Therefore, if we really want our casters to have some of the gear before the Kaz'rogal fight, it might make more sense to start in BT tonight rather than MH. Or we may want to finish up on Anetheron and then switch to BT, although that would give us significantly less time in BT.

I think the plan is to go back to MH first, then go to BT.

I picked up the bracer and belt pattern from the vendor when we were there the other day, and as such can now make those items for clothies. Going well for the materials for my own stuff so far too.

Regarding the +15 shadow resist to cloak, if you're having difficulty getting the mats, I have the +10 shadow resist to cloak enchant (http://thottbot.com/s13522)that you could get until you get the mats for the +15 one. It takes:
1 greater astal escence
1 shadow protection potion

awesome! saving 8 primal shadow is in my opinion worth it, its not too hard to substitute the 5 shadow resist to get capped elsewere.

That is an amazingly better value! Considering that mages get an extra +18 resistance from mage armor, I will definitely opt for the lowbie enchant. I just put a bunch of the potions in the guild bank for others who want the +10 enchant.
I just came across <a class='forumitemlink' target='_blank' href='http://wow.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?witem=22459&locale=enUS'> <tr> <td valign=\'top\' class=\'itemicon\'> <img class=\'itemicon\' src=\'http://wow.allakhazam.com/images/icons/INV_Enchant_VoidSphere.png\'> </td> <td> <body><div class=\'wowitem wowitemlive\'><span class=\'iname\'><span class=\'purplename\'>Void Sphere</span>

Something else that might be worthwhile if you still need some shadow resist is the old shadow resist enchant for the legs or head (http://www.wowwiki.com/Shadow_Guard) available at Light's Hope Chapel in the Eastern Plaguelands. The Argent Dawn also has the +5 shadow resist for shoulders (http://www.wowwiki.com/Shadow_Mantle_of_the_Dawn).
It might not be worth sacrificing damage and such for but if shadow resistance is key, those two things might be worth checking into.

"EasyMother" addon i read about somewhere, i dunno if were interested in trying it out but it looks pretty neat.
http://wow.curse.com/downloads/details/10543/
Very usefull addon for direction to follow on boss ability "Fatal Attraction"
Basically this mod was made at first for guildies, who had some troubles spreading out. So, what does this addon do? It gives the direction which to run to people affected with Fatal Attraction. First person will run towards boss spawn, second towards entrance and third will stand still or go close to a wall.
Actual commands support:
/mom mode - Changes between New and Old arrows models.
/mom lock - Changes arrow position.
/mom reset - Resets arrow position.
/mom test - Test the addon.
/mom check - Check raid members for addon.
/mom - Displays this help commands.
--No dependencies, raid leader must have addon.--[/b]

Hahaha. Hahahahahahahaha. Hahaha haha hahahahahahahahahaha.
We tried something exactly like that with Thadius. "Dumb motherfuckers with negative follow the arrow. Dumb motherfuckers with postive, FOLLOW THE ARROW!". Somehow, people still messed it up. I, for one, liked the concept and Ill load this addon so anyone who wants to use it may use it. Id even suggest people GET IT AND USE IT. However, do NOT rely on the addon and figure out the mechanic of the fight. These things tend to break and I dont want to go through 40 wipes of people complaining that their addon didnt work or that it sent them in the wrong direction.
