Gorefiend game

For those who dont read world of raids religiously, they had a game on their front page today that was interesting. Some guy made the gorefiend "mini-game" in to a flash game so people could try it before the encounter. Behold!

Although its a bit buggy, doesnt let you strafe (which makes me lose everytime!), and the AoE seems horribly underwhelming in size it is still worth playing around with.

Had no trouble with beating it myself... is it pretty true to the fight or am I missing any other mechanic that might screw me up? =]

Nope, thats all there is to the fight. The simulator is actually harder than the in-game fight (less room, no hotkeys, etc.) so if you can get that down you, in theory, should be set to go. Good learning tool in my opinion.

So i havent been sacrafices were i had a real chance to fight my constructs yet, it has always been like me and 8 others alive and 30 constructs running around once i get saced. and before i played this game i dident know the slows from spirit lance stacked, i thought it was just a static amount you need to keep up, im guna use the frost nova at the start once, then nothing but spirit lance the aoe just lets the debuff stacks drop off. Whoever tried to teach me this fails at life ETRI.

If you use the AoE before you use the chains then you can take off 1/6th of a constructs life and STOP THEM. I think thats a bit better than keeping a slowing debuff stacked. But thats just me, you can do what you want just as long as you get them down. If not, Imma call you a gimp and laugh at you.

Made them pop at the very end.. nova'd them in place and picked off one until the rest of them broke and then tab+spiritlanced the rest until they were all slow and just kept on the same one until dead, making sure the rest all had the slowness going.. usually it got to the point where I could freeze them all again just before they got to the group and then aoe them into death.

Hope I get to see this fight eventually.. we're still on KT atm.. phase4 is coming eventually.

yes thats right folks... you too can beat on a cripple in the new sunwell heroic... =]

Now to teach my raid how to not die during any of the first 3 phases without shouting abuse at them... =P
