I am not really good with macros but I've picked up one or two things that are helpful. I'm tired so I'm going to copy some old posts from the sga forums I made:
I found this on the warrior forums, it'll cast sunder on your target, unless your mouse is over another hostile -- then it sunders that target, leaving you autoattacking the original one.
Originally it was in a thread of whining about having to tab to maintain threat on multiple targets, and it works in that situation, but what I find interesting is that (near as I can tell so far) it also lets you sunder crowd controlled targets without doing any damage, so you can sunder up sheep ahead of time.
I'm still playing around with it, but thought I'd share. Any other hot mouseover/focus/whatever macros I should know about?
/cast [target=mouseover, harm, exists] Sunder Armor; Sunder Armor;[/b]
This let's you SUNDER SHEEP which should be exciting for any tank I'd think. No real reason not to build a ton of hate on nearby crowd controlled stuff while you're tanking another mob, especially if you're not the dps target yet. It can get a little weird with turning on autoattack if your actual target isn't nearby so play with it a bit to get a feel for that.
A couple more things I've puzzled out post expansion...
Courtesy of Baalehn, this will cast intercept on your target's target:
/cast [target=targettarget] intervene
Battleshout is still a handy aggro tool for five man trash. It generates a trivial amount of threat, but it can do it at a distance. Here's two places I use it a lot:
Fears/stuns that are temporary aggro wipes (like those tall demons in shadow labyrinth). Generally after a fear the target remembers your threat, but you have to do something to generate threat so that it will reevaluate it's target. You could charge/intervene and hit it, but if you were high enough on the threat list before battle shout will bring it back.
On sheep/sap pulls, you can put yourself on the threat list of everything, and get aggro if the healer is patient, by battle shout buffing the mage or rogue. It's handy on rogues that don't have improved sap, because you just have to get within 20 yards of them to pull aggro back.
Anyone else have any new tricks?[/b]
The battleshout stuff is insane in certain situations. In case it isn't clear from my post above you can generate threat on an infinite number of mobs from infinite range. Is that not exciting news? I have been planning on making a post on combat tables, getting on them, and initial pulls but haven't gotten around to it yet. Also worth reemphasizing is that this makes mobs reevaluate you as a possible target, AT INFINITE RANGE. This works on, for example, Maulgar after a fear.
Cast intervene on your focus:
/cast [target=focus] intervene
I was using this for phase 2 Maulgar last week... I'd set Seld as my focus (target him, type /focus). Then when Maulgar did his fear I could intercept, swap stances, hit taunt, and macro which would charge me back to Seld. Since the taunt debuff was still up, it'd drag him back into position. It seemed to work alright, and I can see it being useful in other situations where you want to abuse intervene as a free charge (were Murmur not now trivial, it'd be a nice way to zip out of melee range).[/b]
I broke this out again for Doomwalker, obviously this would work with other spells like sunder, taunt, etc. Situational but a good trick to have.
Seld has some tricks for casting random/sequential spells with a macro but I'll leave that to him I prefer to hit one button per spell because I'm oldschool/hardcore/stupid.
As always please speak up if you want to clarify something or have questions or I'm wrong. I'd rather spark a debate and discussion than just post my secrets and gain nothing from it :)
