So I downgraded the CAPTCHA system because one applicant couldn't get reCAPTCHA to work, but unfortunately that resulted in at least one spam account being created, and people getting PMed from it. I've re-enabled reCAPTCHA.

If this happens to you, forward me the message and I will delete the user.

CAPTCHA is that "please type the letters in this box" - it's short for "Completely Automated Public Turing Test to Tell Computers and Humans Apart" - the idea is to disambiguate between human beings and software for automatic spamming.
