Last week, I fiddled with my spec so that when I judge crusader on a mob, it gives an extra 3% crit to all attacks made against the mob. (http://www.wowwiki.com/Improved_Seal_of_the_Crusader) Since my knowledge of WWS comes down to "how much did I suck this week", I really don't know how to determine if this judgment is having a positive effect on the raid's performance.

What I'd like to ask is that those who are more knowledgeable about WWS to take a look at the raids since last Tuesday (minus Thursday as I was absent) and see if there is any markable difference. I tried to judge in as often as possible on the bosses (it will be nearly impossible to keep them up the entire fight with no retadin in the raid) and when I felt the spirit move, I'd throw it up on mobs, too.

This change was made for Brutallus as the thought is that the extra crit raid-wide would help us down him faster.

If this is really "all dmg" like it ups my crit by 3%, I'm all for it cause the more crit I have, the more dmg I'm doing basically.

Yeah, it gives an extra 3% to crit on ALL attacks against the judged mob.

God dammit I wrote out a lengthy response to this yesterday but it must have somehow been lost to the ether.

My basic point is that if you can get away with it without it hurting your healing too much (and I'm sure it hurts your healing a lot to keep Crusader up) then do it. If trying to keep it up will result in the healing being stretched too thin and people dying, then of course it is not worth it. This same argument goes for keeping Judgment of Wisdom up, which is maybe even more beneficial to raid dps than this judgment? I really have no idea.

Also you can see how much the judgment is up by looking at this page on WWS (http://wowwebstats.com/vl6rkmdzy6jqi?a=109#buffs). Next to "Browse" change to whichever boss you want to see to see how many Judgments of the Crusader were applied to that boss. Make sure you click the "Buffs & Debuffs" tab.

Casting the judgment has hurt my healing though so far I don't think it's been the cause for a wipe. I try to use my best judgment when doing it. If the fight it getting hectic and I need to concentrate more on healing, then I won't cast the judgment. It would a heck of a lot easier if we have a retribution paladin because, as long as it was up, all we'd have to do it cast the judgments once time and crusader strike would keep refreshing them. However, having a retribution paladin just for that probably wouldn't be worth doing.

During the Brutallus fight where we took him to enrage timer, I was able to keep it up on him pretty often and was able to do my part in keeping Nort and Seldy alive whilst I was among the living so I do believe it's doable.

Believe me, your raid leaders are well aware of the extraordinary benefits a ret paladin would provide for the raid. Unfortunately that's a change that'd be difficult for our raid to pull off, but it's definitely something we'd want in a perfect world.

I agree, and I didn't mean to sound like I was saying "get ret paladin plz" as that wasn't the intent of my message.
