My current raids are up to KT and halfway through SSC (hydross, lurker, Leo) and after being top healer for most of the nights, I decided to blow it all away on becoming a retadin. My gear comprised of mostly of kara gear + s2 chest/shoulders + badge gear and the engineering plate helm (goggles ftw). I had just recently aquired the vortex to make my skillherald as well...
First night in TK was horrible.. I wasnt in the melee focus group, kept on dying on trash and put out a rather substandard performance. Then when we got to VR, I had myself placed in the MT group for sanctity aura for our 2 pally tanks with our enhancement shaman and warrior MT. In VR, who I had thought to be my worst match up.. I managed to come first in dps.. 1120 dps... which pretty much made my jaw drop along with the rest of the raid. SSC is very much more melee dps friendly.. with a imp WF buffed melee team, I'm pulling 3rd in dmg out. Im looking forward to next week with a stackload of haste pots to take #1 more often. Bottomline is, Retribution is incredibly viable IF you have an enhancement shaman (or a decent reeto shaman who wants your babies) to place WF for you constantly. I cant wait for more retadin buffs in future =]

I like my bonkadin, though I think I need to do some more investigation on the talents I'm using as well as gear. I hardly put any thought into his development a while ago which shows now as he's just a thrown-together mess.
WoWWiki has some neat info about various builds that I might try that would allow me to remain ret but bring some better utility to parties. What kind of build do you use Shizz?

What do you think will be the next obstacle the Earth people will put in our way? Well, as long as they can think we'll have our problems. But those whom we're using cannot think. They are the dead. Brought to a simulated life by our electrode guns. You know, it's an interesting thing when you consider...the Earth people, who can think, are so frightened by those who cannot: the dead. |

Im full pve spec atm (5/8/48), I doubt I'll change much because you just lose so much dps efficiency putting points elsewhere. Just like any other paladin build, you really need to blow all your points in one tree to make any real effect... (only xception being a 40/0/21 build for sanc aura for supporting paladin tanks, shockadin!!) I also dont use any spell dmg gear (except for the s2 gear I have) as seal of blood works off weapon dmg and is about 20 dps better than command. This makes it difficult for me to do any sort of healing support midfight. Really its all about keep crusader and other judgements up in raids. I just get to gloat at my high dps when there's an enhancement shaman around =]
